Continued Electricity Service
Westario Power Inc. is pleased to offer residential landlords the choice of how the electricity accounts for their rental premises will be administered.
Landlords have the option to either:
Agree to become the interim account holder and accept responsibility for continued electricity service to your rental premises. Whenever your tenant calls to close their electricity account, you will automatically assume responsibility for the electricity account starting on the tenant’s termination date and until such time as a new tenant establishes an account for electricity service. Choosing this option will ensure the electricity will not be disconnected to the rental premises while vacant and will avoid reconnection charges for your new tenant. Additionally with this option, Westario Power Inc. will waive the new account charge every time you become the interim account holder.
Elect not to become the interim account holder and decline continued electricity service to your rental premises. Whenever your tenant calls to close their electricity account, electricity service to the rental premises will be disconnected until such time as you or a new tenant establishes an account for electricity service. Westario Power Inc. will not be responsible for any loss or damage occasioned by the connection or disconnection of service to a premise, as set out in Westario Power Inc.’s Conditions of Service document, as may be amended from time to time (a current copy of which is available at www.westario.com). Under this option, the reconnection charges will be levied against the landlord.
